NLA VISA

What is the NLV Visa

The Non-Lucrative Visa (NLV) is a Spanish residency visa for individuals who wish to live in Spain without engaging in any professional activities or employment within the country. It’s designed for retirees, individuals with passive income, or anyone who can financially support themselves without working in Spain. Key aspects of the NLV include:

  1. Income Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate sufficient financial means to support themselves (and their dependents, if applicable) without needing employment. This typically involves showing a stable income from pensions, investments, rental income, or other non-work-related sources.

  2. Residency Rights: The NLV grants the right to live in Spain for a year, after which it can be renewed for successive two-year periods, provided the financial requirements continue to be met.

  3. Health Insurance: Applicants must have private health insurance from a company authorized to operate in Spain. You must choose the maximum coverage needed for residency, paid upfront for one year. Or S1 for free health care for pensioners and their spouses.

  4. No Work Permitted: Holders of the NLV are not allowed to engage in any professional activity or employment in Spain.

  5. Pathway to Permanent Residency and Citizenship: After legally living in Spain for five years, NLV holders can apply for permanent residency.

Nomad Visa

What is the Nomad Visa

Spain’s Digital Nomad Visa represents a groundbreaking opportunity for remote workers and digital entrepreneurs from non-EU countries to live and work legally in Spain. It caters specifically to those who are employed by companies outside of Spain or own businesses that primarily serve clients abroad. Here’s what potential applicants need to know:

  1. Eligibility: The visa is designed for remote workers and digital nomads with contracts from non-Spanish companies, or business owners and freelancers with clientele predominantly outside of Spain.

This Visa can be applied for whilst in Spain on your 90 day tourist stamp and give you a fast-track resolution in just 20 days.. This way will also give you 3 years on your initial approval.

  2. Income Requirements: Applicants must demonstrate a stable and sufficient income to support themselves during their stay in Spain. This typically involves showing earnings higher than a threshold set by the Spanish government, ensuring financial stability without reliance on the Spanish job market.

  3. Duration and Renewability: Initially granted for one year, the Digital Nomad Visa can be renewed for longer periods, allowing individuals to extend their stay in Spain. The specifics of renewal periods can vary, offering flexibility for longer-term residency plans.

  4. Free Movement: You will be able to move freely throughout the EU with this residence card.

Arraigo Social

What is the Arraigo Social

Arraigo Social is a legal process in Spain that provides a pathway for non-EU nationals who have been living in the country without legal status for at least three years to regularize their situation. It is part of Spain’s broader immigration policy aimed at integrating individuals who have established significant connections within Spanish society.

This residency permit is not granted automatically but requires applicants to demonstrate their integration into the community, often through social, familial, or economic ties. It acknowledges the contributions and presence of individuals who, despite lacking formal immigration status, have become part of Spanish society and wish to live and work legally.

Once approved, the Arraigo Social residency permit allows the individual to work and reside in Spain for an initial period of one year, which can be renewed and potentially lead to more permanent residency options. It is a mechanism that balances the need for immigration control with a compassionate approach to those who have built a life in Spain despite initial irregularities.
